Calling All Aspiring Young Musical Artists!

Open for entries until 18th October 2018 WhichSchoolAdvisor.com is inviting primary and secondary students from across the UAE, with a passion for music, to take part in the Young Musician of the Year competition for the UAE.

It is completely FREE to enter and we are encouraging as many students as possible to take part. No matter what your age or your musical preference everyone has the chance to be seen and heard. It doesn’t matter what instrument you play, or musical style you choose. In fact, we’d love it if you could bring something different to the competition! In the UAE we are lucky to have such a melting pot of musical backgrounds and cultures coming together in one country.

The music video should be no longer than 3:20 minutes and should be uploaded to WhichSchoolAdvisor.com no later than 18th October 2018. There is no age limit, as long as you are a school student and resident of the UAE you are eligible.

Once the competition closes the videos will be judged by a specially selected panel that includes professional saxophonist Adam Long, and orchestral and session violinist Anna Pym. The music videos will also be opened up to public voting...

This year we have 2 categories in our competition:

1. Young Musician of the Year with the winner being awarded AED10,000, second place AED6,000 and third place AED4,000.

2. People’s Choice Award, the winner will receive a commemorative trophy. This award is chosen by the public on submitted videos. Voting for the People’s Choice Award will begin after the submission round ends and closes on Friday 2nd November 2018.

We are delighted to offer our shortlisted finalists the exciting opportunity of performing live in front of an audience of friends, family, school representatives and invited guests at the beautiful Madinat Theatre on Saturday 3rd November 10am-12:30pm.

In preparation for this, the young artists will have the unique opportunity of being mentored by award winning singer-songwriter legend Abbo Abbondandolo..
