Biography

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Dubai with my family when I was 3 months old. I have lived here for the past 11 years. I started playing the piano when I was 7 years old and am about to appear for the Grade 5 exams. But apart from the formal Grade exams, I also learn the piano just for enjoyment from my teacher Ovidio De Ferrari (who has composed the piece I am playing). With him I have learned to play many different genres of music (from classical to pop to ragtime), and most importantly have developed a love for improvisation. I also enjoy playing by ear and picking up music I like off the internet. In fact the Dubai Opera once put up a video of me playing a Marshmello piece in their foyer! I have been the keyboard player for my primary school band at Horizon English School, and we are just getting started on our Year 7 band at The English College. The piece I am playing is called Mobius, which means continuous. I love playing the piano and hope to travel far on this journey.... ..
